30 September 2010 This happened after the concert in the lobby. I showed Kevin my Michael Grinter flute and Ian Simpson whistle and voila, all of a sudden he was playing tunes for me on them. The heart of Thai performing arts Resting on the Na Phra That Road in Bangkok, adjoining the National Museum as well as the Thammasat University sits the imposing National Theater of Thailand. Portraying Thai architecture, the theater’s facade is adorned in pastel shades, with its red roof decorated with golden eaves. The edifice is divided into 3 wings, where one wing houses a sizable auditorium and a Sala (open pavilion) where outdoor musical performances are held. Another wing has a small theater hosting small dance performances while the third wing is used for holding workshops for theater technicians. Belmont University Musical Theatre Department presents RAGTIME in Fall 2008. “Till We Reach That Day” is the act 1 closer to Ragtime, the musical by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. It features the entire ensemble of the production which is Belmont’s musical theatre majors. The soloists in this clip are: featured soloist: Piper Jones (’12) as Sarah’s Friend [Piper is a Commercial Music Major at Belmont U] Deonte Warren (’10) as Coalhouse Walker, Jr. Jessica Blair (’09) as Emma Goldman Kara Farmer (’09) as Mother James Lombardino (’09) as Tateh Ragtime is a part of Belmont University’s series on The Art of Being Free.
